Palm Sugar: A Village Story | Hindi Review | IGN India

A fictional South Indian village, a love story twisted with a murder conspiracy, and a charming pixel art style. We reviewed Palm Sugar, the debut short story-driven pixel art RPG by Visakhapatnam’s Mono Studios. From the authentic Indian house designs to the cozy south Indian village vibes, the small development team put their heart and soul into this project. While the combat gets a bit repetitive and input timing can feel unpredictable, its heartfelt narrative, gorgeous visual art, and budget-friendly pricing make it a solid attempt.

Gears of War E-Day multiplayer preview: slide, vault, and survive

Gears of War: E-Day wants to redefine the franchise for a gaming audience accustomed to fast-paced shootouts. While veterans of the franchise will tell tall tales of sweaty multiplayer lobbies full of wall-bouncing players, E-Day is adding verticality to its maps, which requires a more strategic approach. For the first time, players can now manually combine jumps and slides into their sprint, also known as the roadie run.

Review: Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is glorious old-school cool

A demon stands atop Lady Liberty's shoulder, giving her a peck as he rains down lightning and flying monsters upon Manhattan. A few blocks down the line, Ryu Hayabusa, our hero, shoots down one of the monsters, jumps on top of it, and rides it down to the streets before decapitating it with a sharp blade. Say what you will about Ninja Gaiden 2, the game commits to its ridiculous over-the-top action tone.

I never grew up with Ninja Gaiden. The original games came before my time, and the rebooted...

Opinion: Every Doom game ranked from worst to best

The Doom franchise has long been a highly influential series that keeps reshaping our ideas of what a first-person shooter should feel like. The original 1993 video game starring the hunky Slayer set a benchmark for 3D shooters, and the modern Doom games continue to push graphics and performance on consoles and PCs.

For many, the Doom games act as a benchmarking tool to test their latest displays, but they're also solid shooters and extremely fun. "Rip and tear!" is the unofficial motto of the...

Opinion: Every Assassin's Creed game, ranked from worst to best

It's hard to believe that Assassin's Creed is almost two decades old. Since the original stealth-focused game in 2008, the franchise has seen many twists and turns. Ubisoft set the tone for the modern open-world game with its early Assassin's Creed games, while continuously improving its systems and changing its identity.

With so many entries, it can be tough for newcomers to figure out which ones they should start with. It can be impossible to set aside time for these games, which have only be...
